TravelPapa warns: Aeroflot has forbidden the transportation of dogs of brachiocephalic breeds

Aeroflot Russian Airlines is one of the TOP airlines in the world, which is included in the second largest aviation alliance Sky Team. In addition, Aeroflot has been awarded "Best airline of Eastern Europe", and is among the three fastest growing airlines in the world.
 Aeroflot introduced a ban on transporting dogs of brachiocephalic breeds (with a shortened snout) on all Aeroflot Russian Airlines flights, regardless of the flight duration.



This applies to the following breeds:
Pekingese, Boxer, Pug, Shih Tzu, Boston Terrier, Griffon (Belgian, Brussels), Japanese Hin, Bulldog (American, English, French), Bordeaux Dane.



Dogs can not be carried on board of the aircraft or inside the cargo hold, this is due to the peculiarities of the structure of the respiration of animals, as well as their increased sensitivity to stress and temperature changes. Flight with animals was banned due to qualities of the dog breeds listed above are more at risk of asphyxiation.
