Sri Lanka's documented history spans three thousand years. Sri Lanka is a diverse country home to many religions, ethnicity and languages. Sri Lanka has a rich Buddhist heritage, and the first known Buddhist writings were composed on the island.
Day 1: Airport - Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in the Morning - Proceed to Kandy - Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy (World Heritage Site) - Kandy Sightseeing - Night stay at Kandy.

The foster – home of elephants (around 70) of different age and size feed, bathe, play together. These great animals have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. Now they even breed in captivity.
Hindu Devales at Kandy's Buddhist Tooth Relic Temple:
Kandy's Tooth Relic Temple is the most significant Buddhist holy place in Sri Lanka, VENERATED by Buddhists from Southeast Asia as well. There are four shrines for gods connected to the Buddha's Tooth Temple. These Devales, playing an important role in the processions of the Buddha's Tooth Relic, are mainly Sinhalese places of worship, whereas Tamil Hindu temples are called Kovils. But the Devales are closely connected to Hinduism in many ways. The above mentioned world-famous procession called Kandy Perahera, originates in the Ratha YATRAS held for the Hindu deities. The priests of the Kataragama Devale in the city centre are not Sinhalese Kapuralas, but Tamil Brahmins.
Day 2: Visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden in the Morning - Visit Commonwealth Cemetery - Kandy City Tour - Watch the Kandy Cultural Dance Show in the evening - Night stay at Kandy.

The Dance was done during the king’s times as an entertaining show for the kings. However its popularity reduced when the British took over, but now it’s revived and taken on for the stage. The Kandyan Music & the Dresses all are a beauty to watch.
Day 3: Proceed to Nuwaraeliya in the Morning - On the way visit Tea Plantation & Tea Factory - Visit Hanuman Temple in Ramboda - See Waterfalls at Ramboda - Visit Gregory’s Lake - Nuwaraeliya Sightseeing and City Tour - Night Stay at Nuwaraeliya.
Gregory Lake:
Gregory Lake was built under the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873. This is the most prominent attraction in Nuwara Eliya and all the vistors used to come here and spent some time by the lake and relax. This is used as a place for water sports.
Day 4: Visit Seetha Amman Kovil - Proceed to Colombo - Colombo City Tour - Go Shopping in Colombo - Night Stay at Colombo.
Day 5: Visit Anjaneyar Temple - Proceed to Airport.
