About Colombo

The city of Colombo is considered nowadays the capital of the gorgeous country of Sri Lanka and it definitely contains an incredibly large numbr of the most varied sightseeings and tourist places that are totally worth visiting, including different picturesque temples, mosques and cathedrals. The best time for visiting Colombo is starting from November and till the very end of April. The city of Colombo owns its own airport, situated in only about 35 kilometers away from the city, which makes visiting the capital on the way to another local sightseeings of Sri lanka quite convenient.
The business center of Colombo is situated in the Western part of the capital, just near the ancient fort. A rather huge number of ancient mansions and villas of colonial architecture have ben still carefully kept by the local citizens and the government in general and numerous green parks with the gorgeous exotic plants are placed just all around th local hotels, banks and restaurants.
