Cheap Southwest Airlines Flights (WN)

Overview

Southwest Airlines is the largest low-cost carrier in the United States. This implies that the air company is proving the cheapest airfares for its flights, including low-cost tickets and special airline deals on cheap flights.

Southwest Airlines was established on March 16, 1967 as Air Southwest Co. by Rollin King and Herb Kelleher, but on March 19, four years later, it changed its name to Southwest Airline Co. as the official name of the airline, today known as Southwest Airlines.

From the beginning, the airline was headquartered in Dallas (Texas). It began customer service on June 18, 1971, offering service to the cities of Houston, Dallas and San Antonio using three Boeing 737 aircraft. Since, Southwest Airlines operated only Boeing aircraft, and especially with Boeing 737. This performance led the company to be the largest operator of the 737 with over 550 of this aircraft in service, each operating an average of six flights per day. Also, the airline began operating the Boeing 717, after its merger with AirTran Airways, which was purchased by Southwest Airlines in May 2011.

Southwest Airline declared its mission. They consider a high quality of customer service in combination with warmth, friendliness, individual pride and company spirit the key to live the best experience for its passengers. Also, they believe that low airfares have a major importance for every customer. This way, the air company is providing affordable prices, a range of cheap tickets in order to satisfy each passenger’s needs. Regarding the company spirit, it supposes a special behavior of the airline for its travelers. This way, Southwest Airline has employed humor in its advertising. Slogans include "Just Plane Smart", "The Somebody Else Up, There Who Loves You", "THE Low Fare Airline" and "Grab your bag, It's On!".

Southwest Airlines’ frequent flyer program was introduced on June 20, 1987. It was named The Company Club, which credited for trips flown regardless of distance. Later, the airline renamed its frequent flyer program into Rapid Rewards.

Southwest Airlines has developed from 15 percent to 85 percent of Americans to travel its purposed flights, including a number of cheap flights. Today, the company serves more than 100 million customers a year, operating more than 3,500 flights per day. Southwest Airlines also operates scheduled service to more than 100 destinations in 42 states.

Southwest Airlines is declared two-aimed air company, targeting at the same time the passengers’ safe, great mood with cheap fares and low-cost tickets as well as cheap flights to attractive destinations like Seattle, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlanta, New York and a hundred of other destinations.
