It's a tour where you meet the very early past up to the present.
Day 1..Skopje sightseeing first, after lunch time driving to lake and Canyon Matka...
Day 2..In the morning drive to the Ancient Roman City of Stobi, Where you'l see
the masterpieces of Romans and Early Christians at the same spot.
Lunch and wine tasting in one of the biggest wineries of the
country. Do not forget that Macedonia is a real WINE POWER.
After winery driving to and sightseeing of the Ancient Macedonian- Ancient Roman City of Heraclea Lincestis, where we can add marvelous works of the so
called early Byzantines. City Bitola itself. and proceed in the afternoon to UNESCO city of Ohrid to accommodate in your hotel.
Day 3 Sightseeing of Ohrid. Imagine what the city of Ohrid is. The so called pearl of the Balkans. With its beautiful medieval churches, the lake and the flora around.
Done by man or the nature all is on the UNESCO list for special protection.
After lunch in the afternoon we drive along the lake some 30 km. First we stop en route at the Neolithic Museum on water, the so called " Bay of Bones ", after that we drive over to the monastery of Sv. Naum...There is possibility to take a row boat to the wells of river Crni Drim..Visiting this piece of paradise and later we drive back to Ohrid.
Free time for leisure
Day 4..In the morning we drive on to western part of Macedonia, right on start we drive by the city of poetry Struga, and over to and through the most beautiful Canyon of Macedonia, canyonof the river Radika. En route we visit Monastery of St. John The Baptist- Bigorski. Further we drive through the National Park Mavrovo and stop for lunch break on the montain pass. Later we proceed to Skopje to end our tour. Of course the Itinerary could be changed, altered in accordance with the client's wishes.
As a Tour-Guide would say this is the most fulfilled and very relaxing way to go about Macedonia. Being continually on the road I know best.
