About Dhaka

The absolutely varied, bright and many-colored capital of Bangladesh the city of Dhaka nowadays represents a great combination of different nations, various traditions, cultures and the most varied customs of people that are dwelling in this country.
The city was established in the VII-th century and since then it had lived through a very large number of historical events that influenced a lot its appearance and development in general. The modern Dhaka nowadays represents a vivid, bright and noisy megapolis with a very large number of population, which is instantly growing with every day. That s why Dhaka is also considered one of the largest cities in the whole world.
The city may be geographically divided into two different parts new and the oldest city. The old parts of the city are mostly represented by the numerous old buildings and ancient contractions, narrow streets and vivid Eastern markets with their colorful goods and delicious scents, tiny distinctive houses of local citizens and gorgeous architectural monuments of the past. The new districts of Dhaka are represented by modern high buildings, luxurious hotels and shopping centers.
The city in general doesn t have a lot of entertainment to offer to its visitors. The main sightseeings of Dhsaka are represented by its numerous architectural monuments, gorgeous palaces and unqiue mosques. Besides that, there is a very large picturesque Botanical Garden and the National Zoo that attracts foreign travelers with their large territories, picturesque nature, multiple wild animal and birds species and the peaceful atmosphere of the local nature.
