About BANGLADESH
Bangladesh is the country, located in South Asia at the highest point of the Bay of Bengal. The name of the country may be translated as the Land of Bengal or the Country of Bengal . Dhaka is considered the capital of the country, which contains about 12 million inhabitants. Even though that the country may not be still considered a rather developed one, it has its own, unique atmosphere that may be met only on the territory of Bangladesh and its cities, which consists of noisy and crowded streets, numerous traders with multiple and the most varied goods, cows and other domestic animals that are walking straight along the streets and many many other things. Besides that here are a lot of small shops, stores and workshops, where the locals are selling various handicrafts, wooden goods, hand-made souvenirs and even furs.
Even though the capital of Bangladesh may not look quite attractive at the very first sight, it also has some absolutely unique sightseeings to impress hiw foreign visitors with, including the ancient fort with its beautiful architecture, which is a rathergood example of the local architectural style and an ancient temple.
Among all the possible ways to explore the capital of the country, the city of Dhaka, the most interesting one is by boat along the river, which crosses the whole city. This is the best way to observe the whole city in general and even to learn better about the life style of the local citizens.
But the main local sightseeings that attract foreign travelers here from all over the world are contained among the natural treasures of Bangladesh, as it has lots of thick green forests, woodlands and hills and the country s wildlife is very diverse: the most variedanimal species, like jungle cat, tigers and leopards or, for example, giant elephants, reptiles and crocodiles are dwelling on their territories, so that it s possible to admire them in their natural habitat during the safari trips, offered for the visitors.
