About AZERBAIJAN
Nowadays it s quite difficult to say, whether Azerbaijan is still the European or already the Asian country, as the developing of the country was influenced by both of these cultures, so that it s being developed in the both ways at the same time. Azerbaijan is the country that will be interesting even for the most experienced travelers due to the large number of the ancient fortresses and palaces, unique modern architecture, delicious local cuisine, numerous historical sightseeings and the hospitable city of Baku, which is considered the main tourist destination of the country and which at the same time is the capital of Azerbaijan. Besides that, Azerbaijan is famous all over the world due to its gorgeous, hand-made carpets, picturesque temples that represent a perfect example of the local architecture, delicious local tea and a huge number of historical monuments of the ancient times.
The modern Baku nowadays represents the quickly developing modern buildings, unusual architecture and the newest part of the city, almost totally made of glass, which is perfectly combined with the old part of Baku. Also, the country in general is a proud owner of amazingly beautiful nature with the thick, green woods, breath-taking landscapes and numerous resorts that attract hundreds of travelers here every year. Local skiing resorts and diving spots are also representing the interesting local tourist entertainments for the foreign visitors.
