The Grand Canyon with Travel Papa

Scenic views of the Grand Canyon

After living in the U.S. for over 20 years, I was sure I had checked off every famous tourist attraction that there was. I had toured the streets of New York and Los Angeles, the beaches of Miami and seen the bright lights of Las Vegas. But it wasn't until stumbling upon the scenic views of the Grand Canyon that I realized that this attraction should've been #1 on my must-see list. While on a trip in Las Vegas, I had found a tour that sends a bus to your hotel to take you to the canyon itself. To add to the convenience, they also provide you with a helicopter and boat tour along the remarkable Colorado River. The helicopter whirls you over the tops of the grand structure, giving you a perfect view of just how never-ending this landmark truly is. We finally descend to the bottom, an incredible 4000 feet, before embarking on a short hike. This leads us to a calm and steady boat cruise through the flowing river that lives within. We are once again thrust back into the air, taking the helicopter to the top of the canyon, where all of the endless photo and selfie opportunities await. The Grand Canyon is also home to a glass bridge skywalk that allows you to see the landmark in all its most beautiful forms. The souvenir shops and cafes also make it a scenic way to end your day and the breathtaking beauty helps you understand as to why almost 1 million people visit this site every year.
