Philadelphia nowadays is considered the sixth largest city of the Unites States and, at the same time, one of the most ancient cities of the whole America. The city is situated in Pensilvanya, on the East of the country, in only about 72 kilometers away to the South-West from New York. The city of brotherly love this is the exact translation of the city s name from the Greek language, which was established for the very first time back in 1682 and which has turned nowadays into one of the most significant financial, economical and political centers of the whole country. Back in 1790 Philadelphia was even considered the very first capital of the United States of America.
Independence Hall is considered one of the most popular and, probably, recognizable sightseeings of Philadelphia, where in the Liberty Bell Center is situated the world-wide known Liberty Bell, which is considered nowadays the real symbol of Independence of the United States of America. The First and the Second Banks of the United States are also situated in Philadelphia and they are considered nowadays the most important buildings in the history and appearance of the city. Elfreth s Alley is consiered the most ancient one in the whole USA and another popular local sightseeing, represented by about thirty ancient buildings of the first half of the XVIII-XIX centuries, including the old churches, ancient residential houses and other constructions, surrounded by the Girard Fountain Park, which is considered nowadays the historical center of Philadelphia.
