Day 1: Las Vegas — Zion Canyon — Bryce Canyon – Kanab
Your journey will start with a visit to Zion National Park. The Virgin river needed millions of years to make its way through the rock. In the 19th century the first Mormons, who made settlements in this region, called the rocks of fantastic shapes «natural temple of God». About 2.5 million of tourists visit the park each year. One of its main attractions is the tunnel with the length of about 2 km in the rock.
Then you go to another amazing place – Bryce Canyon. Water, ice and limestone created this grandiose natural open-air museum. Majestic amphitheater of the canyon is full of towers, spires, minarets, temples and reddish of pink and cream colors. According to the legend, the great Indian spirit, sad by the excess of evil in the world gathered all bad people here and turned them into stones. Whether he wanted this or not, but the spectacle was unique. You will go to Kanab for the night.
Day 2: Kanab — Glen Canyon — Sedona – Flagstaff
You will leave from Kanab and go to Glen Canyon in the morning and visit the famous dam there. The dam of 23-meter high, built in 1966, led to the creation of the 2nd largest human-made lake in the country – Powell. The combination of rocky coast of wonderful color palette from red to burgundy, from pink to rust, and blue water of the lake is incredibly beautiful. The coastline length of the lake, stretched on the territory of Utah and Arizona is 1960 miles that is more than the length of the whole Pacific coast of the United States. From this place you will reach another wonder of nature – “Horseshoe Bend”.
Then you will visit Sedona – the city of red rocks. For many centuries, Sedona is a sacred place for many tribes such as the Yavapai, the Apache, the Hopi and the Navajo. Many of them still come here to hold ceremonies. This place is full of legends. You will stay in Flagstaff for a night.
Day 3: Flagstaff — Grand Canyon — Las Vegas
Morning departure from Flagstaff, arrive in Grand Canyon, visit the IMAX theater to see a movie about the history of its formation. The rest of the day will be focused on the most magnificent and known canyon in the world. Thousands of books are written and a bunch of documentaries are filmed about it, because the geological history of the Earth in last 2 billion years is shown on its slopes! Canyon is so vast and varied that moving from its bottom to the tops of the mountains you can find such a rich variety of climatic zones, fauna and flora, as if you were traveling from Mexico to the Canadian Arctic. In the evening you will go back to Las Vegas.
