day 1, from Bath we drive through Cheddar gorge, then to Wells, England smallest city, Glastonbury and the fabulous stourhead garden before overnight in one of englands smallest towns, Bruton (or nearby) Day 2 is Hardy country including visits to his houses and the Jurassic coast, Corfe castle and on to Salisbury for overnight. Day 3 we see the stone circles of Stonehenge and Avebury (both world heritage sites) before moving on to the city of Oxford (overnight). day 4 from Oxford to Cambridge via the codebreakers centre at Bletchley Park. overnight Cambridge. Day 5, from Cambridge we head to Wicken Fen, then Ely, through Holbeach to Woolsthorpe manor (home of Sir Isaac Newton) and on to Lincoln (overnight) . Day 6 we head to the Derbyshire Dales via Edwinstowe (Robin Hoods Sherwood forest) and Bolsover castle. We take in the plague village of Eyam, Bakewell, Ashford, Monsal and Castleton in the lovely Peak District National Park. Day 7 includes Lyme Park, Quarry Bank mill and Little Moreton Hall, before overnight in Chester. Day 8 we visit Chirk castle and Llangollen, on either side of the welsh border, then on through Oswestry to Ironbridge wehere we stay (or possibly on to Worcester) Day 9 through the cotswolds including very many of the most famous towns and villages and back to Bath.
This tour operates on weekdays, starting on Monday Tuesday or Thursday. You have the weekends to tour independently or get your breath back. Starting on Mondays you would have the weekend in Lincoln (or be put on a train to York) starting on Tuesdays, weekend in Cambridge. Staring on Thursday you have the weekend in Chester (itinerary in opposite direction) and a second weekend in Salisbury.
