About Bergama

The Turkish city of Bergama is situated in about 107 kilometers away from another popular local travel destination, the city of Izmir and in only about 26 kilometers away from the Aegian coast. The oldest signs of the ancient civilizations that had been living on the territory of ancient Bergama many many centuries ago are considered the main reason that annually attract thousands and thousands of foreign travelers from all over the qorld to this Turkish city. They are considered the main must-see things for all the travelers that are coming to Turkey from all over the world.
The ancint Acropolis is considered the main and, probably, one of the most recognizable sightseeings of the city, which is towering above the whole city and is easily seen almost from every spot of Bergama. It is asolutely easy to reach the ancient historical sightseeing either on foot or by taxi or within one of the numerous historical and observation tours that are daily offered on the territory of Bergama by the numerous private tour guides. Besides that, in the middle of June there is annually held the music festival for all the local Turkish singers and artists, called Bergama Kermesi, which is annually gathering together the Turkish population and numerous foreign visitors of the country for about seventy years already.
