About Saint Petersburg
Saint Petersburg is considered nowadays the cultural capital of Russia and the northern Venice , as it is sometimes even called by the local citizens. Besides all that, Saint Petersburg nowadays is truly considered the city of bridges , as the 68 different rivers and canals are crossing the city in different directions, creating th 42 gorgeous islands on its territory. There are nowadays about 580 different bridges on the territory of Saint Petersburg and in its nearest suburbs and city s surroundings that are truly considered one of the main and, probably, the most recognizable sightseeings of the city.
