About Sintra
The Portuguese city of Sintra nowadays is considered one of the most ancient cities in the whole country, which is nowadays more than eleven centuries years old and is situated in only about 23 kilometers away to the North from the Portuguese capital, the city of Lisbon. The city annually attracts thousands and thousands of foreign visitors from all over the world with its numerous exotic city parks, many centuries years old wood, ancient castles and palaces, numerous tiny churches, gorgeous monasteries and so on. The city of Sintra is even included in UNESCO World Heritage List since 1995 and is nowadays carefully protected by the government and the local citizens. Besides that, the city has an incredibly large number of comfortable and gorgeous beaches, situated on the territory of Sintra and even in its nearest suburbs, which makes it one of the most popular Portuguese cities to visit for the vacation by the beach.
