About Arequipa

Arequipa nowadays represents the second largest city in Peru and, at the same time, the large economical center of the country, situated in the South on the height of about 2335 kilometers above the sea level. Arequipa is considered the most beautiful city in the whole country and is completely covered with the gorgeous white houses in the colonial Spanish style of the XVIII-th century.
The main sightseeings of the city are represented by the ancient monasteries and elegant churches of the XVI-th century. Besides that, Arequipa in general has a very large number of gorgeous historical and architectural monuments and about 250 of its residential houses that are spread just all over the territory of the city are nowadays included in UNESCO World Heritage List. And don t forget about the stunning ancient bridges of Arequipa - they are considered the separate special must-see of the city.
