About Windhoek

Windhoek is considered he capital of Namibia, situated in the very center of the country, just near the Eros Mountain. This is the exact place in Namibia where the major part of all the local tours start and also usually end, as the only one international airport of Namibia is situated exactly here in only about 45 kilometers away from the capital.
Windhoek represents nowadays the absolutey exotic Namibian capital, which is totally filled with the German spirit, so there is no wonder why there is such a large amount of historical and architectural monuments and sightseengs, built in the German colonial style. The capital in general has a quite large number of the most varied architectural, historical, cultural and nature sightseeings, for example, Tintenpalast is considered one of the main local sightseeings, representing the gorgeous palace with the Parliament placed inside nowadays.
Besides that the neogothic Christ Church of the end of XIX-th century, Alte Feste Church, President Palace, National theater of Windhoek and numerous ancient mansions, built in German colonial style are considered another popular local sightseeings. And, of course, so not forget about he famous local attraction - Gamsberg Pass - which represents the picturesque, vivid tourist route through the Namib Desert straight along the Kuiseb River towards to Atlantics, which provides the travelers with unforgettable view and unique travel experience.
