About Chisinau
One of the coziest cities of the whole Soviet region, Chisinau is considered the capital of Moldova and, at the same time, its main historical, cultural, political and economical center. The city was mentioned in the local chronicles for the very first time back in 1420 and since then it has developed quite a lot.
Numerous museums, parks, gardens and galleries - these are the main things that form the local excursion program of the city. Besides that, there i sa quite large number of the most varied modern and historical monuments, placed just all over the city, including the famous Triumphal Arch, Stefan cel Mare monuments in the central park of Chisinau, the Parliament Building and many many other things.
But the most special thing about the Moldavian capital is that it may be probably the greenest city that you have ever been to, as it contains about 23 different park, placed all over its territory (can you just imagine that?), so that it would be quite convenient for you to visit at least few of them, while staying in Chisinau, no matter in what district of the city you are planning to stay. Oh, and don t forget about the most varied wine tours that are organized straight from the capital to the world-wide known local wine cellars!
