About Ohrid

In case, if you have ever looked for the images of Macedonia on the Internet, you have definitely seen at least few of the most popular photos of Macedonia with that gorgeous ancient monastery standing on the top pf the cliff just above the huge picturesque lake. Yes, that is Ohrid. The local lake is considered one of the main reasons that annually attract thousands and thousands of foreign visitors from the whole country and from all over the world to this city and there s no wonder, as the Ohrod Lake is considered the second largest lake in the whole europe after the famous Baikal Lake.
The city in general doesn t have a very large number of different historical and architectural sightseeings, but nevertheless, foreigners easily find lots of interesting entertainments in Ohrid, like, for example, exploring the local ancient monasteries and numerous churches, visiting the multiple cozy restaurants and cafes with the delicious Macedonian cuisine and going on a ride around the enormously large Ohrid Lake.
