The tour starts on 3km of Bitola city centar.
------Our first stop will be at the ancient city HERACLEA LYNCESTIS. It is assumed that the town was founded in 4 century B.C. by the Macedonian king Filip II of Macedon(father of Alexander the great). The uncovered monuments are a proof of its establishment in the late Copper Age. You will see and listen many interesting and unique things about this famous city which was entirely ruined in the 6 century.
------Our next stop will be the CITY MUSEUM. In the building with great history (built in 1848 as a Military High School - Idadie. In 1900, this High School became a Military Academy - Harabie, and as such it worked until 1909.) is situated our City museum with 2 permanent exhibits. In one room we wil see thousands of exponents which were found in Bitola and near villages from different epochs, creating the cultural and historical map of the region. The second room is dedicated to father of modern Turkey - Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
-------After museum, we will continue on our main walking street, famous "Shirok Sokak"(Wide street). Street which connects city centar with the park, main street in Bitola, from where all the urbanists, builders and other planners have started when major buildings were to have been constructed, taking into account its lines.Street on which at the midle of 19 century, more than 15 countries had their consulates and ambasadors.
---------The house of culture,Catholic Church, Clock tower (symbol of Bitola), main city church "St. Demetrius" and two of the ten oldest Mosques in Macedonia from 16 century (Yeni Mosque and Ishak Chelebi Mosque) will be our next destinations.Very interesting and unique stories,facts and great architecture will be in front of us.
---------At the end, we will visit,feel and smell the Old Bazaar. Founded in 13 century, place where all the traders from east and west stopped, share some information and made some deals. Open market,small shops and some almost forgotten crafts will be in front of us......
