About Matera

There is no doubt that the Italian city of Matera is definitely the most unusual city in the whole country. The city has got its fame all over the world, due to the ancient rock settlements that had been carefully kept there for many many years already and are even included in UNESCO World Heritage List, whch make this place so much important from the tourist point of view and which makes this place one of the most significant destinations in the whole Southern Italy.

The city in general has an incredibly large number of historical sightseeings, represented by its numerous caves, ancient constructions, natural monuments and the large complex of ancient churches, located straigh in the caves of Matera and that are totally worth visiting.
