About Loksa
Loksa is a small Estonian city with the population of only about 3 thousands of people, situated in the North of the country straight on the Baltic coastline. The city of Loksa is situated only in about 60 kilometers from the capital of the country, the city of Tallinn and is popular among the foreign travelers due to its thick green forests, large meadows, crystal clear lakes and numerous architectural and historical sightseeings that are spread all over the city surroundings.
The city of Loksa was mentioned in local chronicles for the very first time in 1629. The city has got its fame all over the world, due to its high quality bricks that have been being produced there starting from the middle of the XIX-th century. The local bricks became so popular among the neighboring countries that they had been exported for the cities s building and reconstruction. There is even a legend nowadays that about 50% of the whole city of Helsinki is built from this popular local bricks made in Loksa.
