About Pinar del Rio

The city of Pinar del Rio represents the capital of the Cuban province of the same name and is situated in only about 162 kilometers away from Havana. The city was established for the very first time back in 1774 and since then it has developed quite a lot. Nowadays the city of Pinar del Rio is situated i the very center of the main region, which is responsible for the tobacco producing and is considered the main center of cigar production in the whole country.

Plaza de la Independencia is considered another popular meeting point of the foreigners, where the best art gallery in the whole Pinar del Rio is situated and which contains the best art works of local artists from the whole country.
