About Cienfuegos
The beautiful Cuban city of Cienfuegos is situated on the coast of the Caribbean Sea in only about 230 kilometers from the capital of the country, the city of Havana. The city of Cienfuegos nowadays is considered the main largest sea port of the country and its historical center is even included in UNESCO World Heritage List. The local citizens call the city of Cienfuegos the Southern gem of the country.
Castillo de Jagua is considered one of the main sightseeings of the city, which is situated straight at the entrance to the Bahia de Cienfuegos Bay. The sightseeing represents an ancient fortress, which was built in 1745 as a shelter from the pirates frequent raids.
Palacio de Valle is considered another popular local sightseeing, representing an incredibly beautiful palace, which was built in the very beginning of the last century and is situated straight on the main central street of Cienfuegos, called Paseo El Prado.
