About Abidjan

The city of Abidjan is considered nowadays the largest city in the whole Cote d Ivore and, at the same time, its main economical, political, social and cultural center, and the third largest French speaking city in the whole world. The city with the population of over four million people is geographically situated on four peninsulas and is considered one of the most popular totruist destinations in the country.
The city was established in the second half of the XIX-th century and since 1930 is has got the status of the city. The city of Abidjan was formed for the very first time on the place of tiny fishing villages and since then it had developed quite a lot really fast and has turned into a rather modern and increibly large city. The city nowadays has the status of the main sea port of Cote d Ivore and even has its own large international airport.
