My Dear friends, good morning!
The most beautiful section of the Great wall to visit in China is the Mutianyu section, The tour guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel at 8:00am(if you prefer to start at different time please let us know). it will take about 2 hours to drive there from the city center.
We will visit the most beautiful section of the great wall Mutianyu Great wall. The Mutianyu area has dense woods and rich pastures. Unlike other sections, Mutianyu has a beautiful landscape all the year round. In spring, the mountain sides are decorated with peach and plum blossoms; In summer, people feel cool here with the luxuriant green trees and grass; In autumn, the golden, red and crimson autumn colors can be seen everywhere on the tree leaves and fruits- apples, pears, walanuts, chestnuts; In winter, snow presents another attractive scene over the Great wall.
We will take the open cable car to go up to the great wall if you are young and strong, and we will use the slide way to go down, (for little baby and elder persons, we suggest to use the close cable) , it will take about 10 minutes to up to the great wall, and then we will climb the great wall for about 2 hours. After we reach the great wall. to the right side it will be the be main Pass---Mutianyu Pass(the 3 buildings connected with each other). the people who live on the both side of the great wall can cross there for business during the peace time, but when wars happened it will be closed. this side is too steep to climb for elder persons, but if you are yong and strong it will take about 30-40 minutes to climb up and come down.and then we could visit the left side for about another 1 hour, this side is very easy to climb, it's very flat and the stairs are very small. and then we will take the slide way to go down.
Mutianyu section of the great wall was rebuilt up by the General Xuda who served the Emperor Zhuyuanzhang at the beginning of the Ming dynasty on the ruins of the Great wall in North-Qi Dynasty (550 A,D ).
The totally long of the great wall of China is more than 7000km. it crosses nine provinces and main cities from east to west. for example; The Liaoning province, Hebei province, Tianjin city, Beijing city, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu provinces and inner Mongolia etc. Just like a huge dragon cross north China.and most of the wall was built along the ridge of the mountains and the highest spots of the mountains will be kept inside of the great wall.it spent several millions of people to built it for several centuries. Most of people were died when they built the wall, After they died they will be buried under the great wall, that's why we said the great wall was not only made of the bricks and stones but also the blood and bones.
In the past, this section was an important military consideration. Today, it is a very pleasant place to visit.
