Panama is a small country, located in Central America, which shares its borders with such neighboring countries as Colombia and Costa Rica. Besides that, the country has an outlet to the Caribbean Sea in the East and to the Pacific Ocean in the West.
The country is geographically divided into nine provinces. The capital of the country is the city of Panama, which is also considered the largest city of the country and its main economical, political, cultural and social center. The Spanish language is considered the official language of the country, but besides that, English is also widely spread all over the territory of Panama, so it is quite easy to travel around.
The Caribbean coast is much more picturesque than the Pacific. The water here is crystal clear and has that amazing turquoise color, the snow-white sandy beaches are surrounded by high palm trees and the underwater world is filled with various small dwellers, including many colored fish and sea stars. The Pacific coast is less attractive, but nevertheless it has more unique places to show, including the black sandy beaches of Coronado and perfect waves for surfing and windsurfing, especially in Santa Catalina region, which has all the necessary conditions both for professionals and for the very beginners.
Besides that, the country offers its visitors multiple natural sightseeings, hidden among its Darien and Coiba National Parks with their thick green forests, exotic plants and their amazing scents, stunning views and breath-taking landscapes, and of course the rare wild animals species that may be mostly met only on the territory of Panama and its forests.
Panama also offers its visitors all the active kinds of entertainment that are so much popular among the travelers, including the helicopter tours above the local cities and their main sightseeings, skydiving and paragliding, surfing, windsurfing, hiking, snorkeling, diving and many many other things.
