Belize annually attracts thousands of tourists by its rich vegetable and animal kingdoms, coastal reefs, amazingly beautiful landscapes and, of course, huge number of ancient sightseeings, including the famous Maya architectural monuments. Its population consists of about 280 thousands of people, mostly represented by the Spaniards; nevertheless, the English language is considered the official language of the country.
The transportation system is not developed well enough in Belize, so the most popular ways to travel around the country is either by bus, which is rather cheap and comfortable here, or by ferry (if you need to move on the other islands).
As the country is considered the proud owner of the Belize Barrier Reef and partially consists of the tropical forests, everyone has a great possibility to find something interesting for themselves: that s why lots of hiking, diving and snorkeling lovers gather here annually in order to find some unforgettable adventures.
There are lots of various interesting and unusual souvenirs that you may bring back home from your trip, including national clothes, different articles made of wood or bamboo, gorgeous handmade boxes, statuettes, laces and carpets, Cuban cigars and so on.
