Tropicana Las Vegas Unveils Newly Designed Hotel Rooms and Luxury Suites

First Step in Major Property Transformation Features the Glamour and Style of South Beach and World-Class Amenities

Tropicana Las Vegas announced today that it will unveil the first of its newly designed hotel rooms and luxury suites in the property’s 569- room Paradise Tower. The new rooms are part of the $165 million transformation of the property, designed to capture the sultry South Beach vibe that will be at the heart of the new Tropicana Las Vegas. The luxury suites will be opened on May 17th.

“The objective is to create a place that has an ambiance and a glow that is irresistible to the majority of the Las Vegas visitors. In addition to changing and improving everything in our guests’ physical environment, we also plan to exceed our guests’ expectations in both service and amenities”

‘Best In Class’ Guest Rooms

This is the first completed major redesign at Tropicana Las Vegas since 1985. Tropicana Las Vegas will offer the newest hotel rooms in the city and the “best-in-class” hotel rooms in the mid-tier price range. Differing greatly from most of the traditional Las Vegas hotel rooms, Tropicana Las Vegas offers a bright, fresh, comfortable and casual setting accented by soft-colored furnishings. In lieu of heavy and dark drapery, white plantation shutters were selected to add abundant natural light. The room’s original white decorative ceiling and canvas artwork commissioned from famed artist Aldo Luongo further emphasizes the residential quality of the space.

“The objective is to create a place that has an ambiance and a glow that is irresistible to the majority of the Las Vegas visitors. In addition to changing and improving everything in our guests’ physical environment, we also plan to exceed our guests’ expectations in both service and amenities,” said Tom McCartney, president of Tropicana Las Vegas.

The spacious rooms will feature one king or two queen-size pillow top beds, 42” flat panel TV, workspace desk or chaise longue, iHome clock radio with a universal docking station, wireless internet, Kohler sink features, and curved shower rods. Rooms will range from 396-441 square feet.

Premier Suites

The Premier Suites were designed with a sophisticated and elegant, yet subdued aesthetic, offering guests an intimate retreat filled with bright natural light and organic materials. The Miami-inspired design evokes nature and brings a sense of the tropics indoors, inspiring a sense of calm and relaxation.

Custom designed furniture, carpeting, wood flooring, plantation shutters, roman shades and lighting give a warmth to the suites while the selection of textures and juxtaposition of materials add depth and interest. Each suite features well appointed original artwork by renowned artists.

The rooms are the first public-facing example of the $165 million transformation taking place at Tropicana Las Vegas, including the redesign of 1,658 hotel rooms and 140 luxury suites in two towers, the 50,000 square foot casino and world-famous 4-acre tropical pool. Additionally, the resort will feature several new restaurants, bars and lounges, a full-service spa, retail offerings, a new poker room, entertainment options and conference center, and nightclub.
