Finnish air company starts special anniversary sales of $400 roundtrip to 15 cities
Earlier this month, Finnair, the national carrier of Finland, celebrated its 40th anniversary of service between the USA and Finland - but the party is just getting started!
Today, Finnair’s Janne Soini, Sales Manager USA, announced that in celebration of this aviation milestone, a special ‘Fabulous Forty Fare’ of just $400 roundtrip per person is offered from New York to fifteen (15!) cities within Europe, to know Bergen and Oslo (Norway), Copenhagen (Denmark), Stockholm (Sweden), Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt and Hamburg (Germany), Milan and Rome (Italy), Paris (France), Budapest (Hungary), Bucharest (Romania), Vienna (Austria), and Zurich (Switzerland). All flights connect via Helsinki, the 'shining star of Scandinavia'. During the summer season (May 31 – September 13, 2009), Finnair offers ten flights per week between New York and Helsinki.

Come celebrate our 40th anniversary on board our brand-new luxurious Airbus 330-300 aircraft from JFK!" invites Soini. "But book soon – seats at these rates are limited and will sell out quickly!"
All travel must be booked by June 14, 2009 in Finnair’s economy class; seats are subject to availability at time of booking.
The rate of $400 roundtrip per person is valid for travel from JFK between May 31 and November 30, 2009 and includes fuel surcharges, however, price does not include US Customs / INS / Aphis fees / International Transportation Tax / September 11 Security Fee / Passenger Facility Charges / Security and Airport Charges of up to approximately US $80-$200 per passenger, depending on the destination. Minimum stay: the night between Saturday and Sunday. Maximum stay: 1 month within the travel period. Child discount: 25% for children between 2–11 years old, 90% for infants under 2 years old. Tickets are non-refundable and changes are not permitted.
