Cheap Georgian Airways Flights (A9)

Overview


Georgian Airways was founded in September 1993 as Airzena air company.

The company primarily operated charter flights to China, Egypt and other countries. For that period in spite of complicated economic and political situation, the air company achieved to get its own place and due to the correct strategy retained its share in the aviation market. In 1999 Airzena became the flag carrier of Georgia. On October 1, 2004 the air company changed its name into Georgian Airways.

In the first half of 2000 the air company's authorities made a decision to renew Soviet technology fleet and leased two aircraft of BOEING 737-500 type from Hapag-Lloyd company.

It was the first case when Georgia commenced the operation of Western technology aircraft.

In September 2007 three new aircraft of CRJ-100 type was added to the fleet of the air company, and in 2009 the company updated its air fleet with one Boeing NG 737-700 and CRJ 200 aircraft.

In the nearest future the authorities of the air company plan to purchase new aircraft.

Air company's priorities: permanent and strict protection of flight safety standards; continual renewal of service; keeping of own place in the international market of the strict competition surrounding.

Georgian Airways is a private air company headed by a Chairman of Directors' Board with juridical status of LTD. Tamaz Gaiashvili is its Chairman.
